If we are all made in God's image, does that mean God is gender fluid.....

The writing isn't bad but this story could have used some extensive editing.
It rambled on and there were scenes that made no sense to the story. Actually most of the story was so thinly woven it was hard to figure out what was happening to whom and why.
If you like slow burn then this isn't for you. Slow burn would mean something would happen every so often to let you know the romance was progressing. However the animosity between the two MC's was so caustic at times any inching toward any romance was erased in the next scene/paragraph. Slow burn would also mean the MC's actually get together in the end. They did not in this story. There was a kiss that was aborted and then nothing but more animosity. This isn't a HEA or HFY or even a one night stand. This is two people stuck together. Its not a romance essentially. Its more of a m/m vampire horror story with lots of scenes centered around feces and some blood. I have to say the feces scenes were written well enough to turn my stomach at times. Was this because the writing was good or due to the subject matter? That I can't answer.
I think the ending was suppose to be a cliff hanger because no writer would end a story like that without a follow up, right?
There are questions never answered. There were secondary characters that are left in the wayside.
If there is a second book I'm not inclined to read it.
