It was good. I liked it. It was sad in parts and funny in others. I'm not sure if its me or what but I didn't cry like a baby or sniffle into tissues or weep uncontrollably. Actually I didn't even get verklempt. I think maybe the idea that one person 'needs' another so completely to border, if not cross right on over to 'call 800-need-psych-care-now' unhealthy is becoming Amy Lane 'thang'. I guess at times this has worked for me and I have enjoyed most of her stories. However, it's getting a little old, at least for me.
The writing again was superb. The story-line was fluid and engaging. Amy Lane is one of my favorite writers and will continue to be. I just may have to scope out her new books before I dive in from now on.
