It wasn't bad just not good or great. Tim kinda slid through his acceptance of being gay. No angst or really any deep thought. Matt was in an abusive relationship with a closet case and he seemed to slide from being cowered to ready for a healthy relationship. No angst no deep thoughts. It was if they were kind of ken dolls. Didn't feel for the characters much. I enjoyed the cat and Adam was just a male body to get hard next to to prove Tim was in fact gay. I felt like Adam was just a poor care bear to use for the ken dolls amusement. I didn't really laugh although some of the scenes were amusing. In the end the book felt flat and a little cold. The writing is superb, I just wish J.L. Merrow would add some 'passion' to her MC's and their story.
