It wasn't bad, it wasn't for me. I didn't see or feel the connection between Terrell and Colby. I wasn't really invested in the story. I usually feel so 'pulled in' with Amy Lane stories. This one just didn't do that for me. I finished it because it was Amy Lane and because she has given me some of my absolute favorite books. I felt I owed it to her to finish. I probably would have set it down and forgot about it if it had been anyone else.
Will I be more cautious reading Amy Lane books, no way! It's like I said about another favorite author after they wrote a story that wasn't for me. It makes them more human to me. Makes them more accessible because yeah not every ball out of the park, for me, is a home run.
